The Print Tool Workshop Objectives

At the end of The Print Tool Workshop, attendees will be able to:

  • Analyze all handwriting curricula through the use of “Curriculum Analysis”
  • Understand the eight essential components of handwriting
  • EVALUATE – Administer and Score The Print Tool Assessment
  • REMEDIATE – Interpret The Print Tool results, write a report, and design handwriting plans for children
  • Set handwriting goals and demonstrate evidence based intervention through proper documentation
  • Plan ways to share handwriting knowledge with others
  • Understand the benefits of “HWT Level 1 Certification”
  • Make The Print Tool work for you—Handwriting and You!

In addition to The Print Tool training, attendees will learn about using HWT in various settings—tutoring, clinics, schools.

Note: This workshop assumes all attendees have a basic working knowledge of the Handwriting Without Tears® curriculum. The presenter will be focusing on the objectives and outline for this workshop and will not have time to spend on the details of using the readiness, printing or cursive programs. For training on using the curriculum, you should attend either the Pre-K and/or the Kindergarten-5th Grade workshops.

Score The Print Tool: Use the Transparent Measuring Tool and Evaluation Scoresheet. Calculate scores.
