Slate Chalkboard
The chalkboard is made of real slate, measuring 4" x 6", in a sturdy wood frame.
- The smiley at the top left corner orients children and reinforces top to bottom,
left to right directionality.
- The slate provides a frame of reference so that children write capitals and
numbers in a consistent size and without reversals.
- The activities improve children’s finger dexterity, helping them to
develop a good pencil grip. Writing correct chalk strokes prepares children
for pencil strokes.
- The fun and tactile lessons prepare children for pencil and paper.
